I have an HP Pavilion laptop that was for a good 6-7 months, started overheating and shut down unexpectedly! Over time, the problem has worsened the closure without notice, literally several times a day! I went through several troubleshooting steps to address this problem. Then finally came upon this product a try.
Simple, affordable, nice design! And … After a month of use, my laptop has not overheated or quit unexpectedly.
I was so happy with her, I have documented the details of my situation and this solution on a Squidoo lens (link)! Check it out for more information. This was a simple product accessible to a big problem, I know many people with their laptops overheating. Even if you do not do random arrests, like me, overheating may potentially cause damage to your laptop.

This keeps my half (13.5 inch) laptop nice and cool. The tip is a bit 'hot, but seem to cool the pasta and the elevator in my lap is more appreciated. No complaints so far to use a couple of months. Furthermore, it is not too strong and annoying, which is nice, my desktop so strong, and I was afraid that would be a bad laptop cooling pad, as my roommate would get distracted. Take care!

I use this lapdesk all the time with my Asus Netbook; it’s comfortable, light, versatile, and helps keep my lap cool. I’ve tried adjustable wooden lapdesks in the past, but found those too heavy, cumbersome, and uncomfortable. I’ve also tried lapdesks that come with a pillow-like base filled with styrofoam beads, but those were too flimsy and the styrofoam quickly compacts until there’s almost no cushioning left. When using her netbook, my wife had been using an old Masonite-topped lap desk filled vith Strofoam pellets. A gift certificate from our son in Japan allowed us to buy this Belkin notebook stand.
She likes that fact that there’s enough room to operate the cordless mouse that she uses instead of that awful touch pad on the computer.

i like doing work in front of the tv, so this has been a great accessory. i used to use pillows, but that would make my macbook pro very hot since the heat couldn’t dissipate. i have a 15″, and felt like the larger surface area props it up better. the angle works well with longer use and my laptop doesn’t slide off easily. it’s obviously not gonna cool your laptop like stands with fans, but it works well considering what it is. plus, amazon offers it at a great price. go for it!

I needed this cable 4-pin to 4-pin to get Hi-8 digital video from a Sony camera uploaded to an XP laptop I have (my work laptop, actually). Since Sony chose not to write the drivers necessary to accomplish this with Vista 64, I needed to buy this cable. Sony, customer-friendly fellas that they are, wanted to charge me .99 for the cable and said they couldn’t get it to me for a couple of weeks. I don’t remember what I spent on the Belkin cable, but it wasn’t much north of ten bucks and it got to me two days later. And it works.
But I won’t be buying any Sony products any time soon.

Bought the cable to patch form video camera to PC. Works great. Quality of the cable is very good. Can’t see a thing wrong with it. The signal was perfect and was able to record a blu ray format with the video that I shot using the HV20 camera. The results speak for themselves. The price was right and I am very pleased with this cable.

This is my first review at all in Amazon.com. I bought the Cable locally and not by amazon. The purpose of buying it is to connect my iPod through my car A/V cable. I tried the video cable but I don’t use video when driving so after the old cable wear, the logical selection is Y Audio Cable. I choose this cable after comparing it with other one which have a more expensive price and better style. However I go with this because of the price. It works perfectly and the sound quality amazing, even on high level of sound.
The feel of the cable is great and you can feel about the quality of it, but the cable is too long for my use, however I can’t say that as a negative side.

but the sound from my mac to my amp is nowhere as clear as music played over cd. the mids and highs are lacking……. but thats happening because of the earphone jack out. it is the best it can be, build quality is excellent……..

I bought this to upgrade from the stock cable that came with my Audioengine A2 speakers. I could instantly hear a dramatic improvement in the tightness of the bass…much less muddy. Also the imaging and soundstage were much improved. Cables make a HUGE difference in sound quality.
I use this to connect my laptop to my home system, and they work tremendously. Inexpensive is just an added bonus.
