Creative Labs Sound Blaster Arena Surround USB Gaming Headset Review

Current price, you can use to make absolutely nothing wrong with this headset. I admit, this headset is my husband, as I currently use the Logitech G35 Surround 7.1 channel headphones, I received a few months ago. Because of the constant and fixed jealous pouty faces that I endured during my husband without Gamede quality headset, I decided it was time for him to have her! I tested very extensive and compared them with him is much more expensive colleagues and I have good news. The SoundHeadset Blaster Arena is almost as impressive as my Logitech headset above, and is currently at half price.
We have online play a lot and so that the microphone is a necessity. After many tests with both surprises headphones, my friends and guild members could not tell a difference when I was with one of the two headsets. My voice was loud and clear on both and I had no complaints. The silence on both the capabilities of these headphones is very important, game immersion, and I admit Inot want to dive in the Sound Blaster Arena. The earcups fit my head perfectly and very comfortable, but for some reason I could hear the noise more with this device, as with my Logitech headset. The difference was small and not think it would be noticed if not directly compare the two.
One thing that this headset is missing the extra "G" keys, the Logitech headset is on the left side. I never used these buttons, so that's not really aLoss, in my opinion. I believe that they control the voice changer (which is good for a laugh, and then your friend, they get tired!) And can be adapted for other tasks, such as controlling your media player. Close at hand, but it can also be used by me, so I can not really fault this headset is not with them.
The volume is handled differently on both. The Sound Blaster Arena is a small piece of plastic directly on the spinal cord itself, which adjusts the volume. Itworks well, but I prefer my volume control on my Logitech headset if it is right. I like to thread the cable means and with this headset, you have to use nature in his lap at all times. Not really a drawback, but I kind of tend to think of the volume control headset will wear faster.
The Sound Blaster headset Arena also lacks the heavy braided line. One thing I have done nothing except as he is something missing, the duration, isthese cold winter nights, when the games, I think cold and, like a blanket on her lap. If this string rubs against the ceiling, I have shots up to date with my ears! Ouch! But be careful, and if you do not like covered, do not really miss the braided cord of the headset from Logitech.
In general, both are very similar, and if you go for the sound quality without all the fancy extras that are not to be disappointed with this headset great. If you're willing to pay $ 50 morecharacteristics listed above, then Logitech will not let you down. At this current rate, however, steal, this is an awesome headset. Very comfortable, durable and lightweight. And has a unique feature that pushes me to steal them from my husband, too often: The microphone is detachable and can be used as normal headphones. Awesome, because we have a headset for quality listening only to music. Each player and music lovers should they?

Compared to the Logitech G35’s – Gavin Scott – Sunnyvale, CA United States
I also have the headset Logitech G35 so that a comparison between the two.
The headset arena is well made, although not as heavy as developed in the G35-in my opinion. The arena has the advantage of lower weight and probably more comfortable for most people.
The boom microphone on the stage is elastic and can you really have no control on the distance between the microphone and the mouth as a result.
On Ventrilo, people said that I sound better than the Arenathe G35, so that wins for the quality of the sound coming out of the scene. I have not noticed a significant difference on the sound quality received, or when for the game.
I tried the ring on two computers and had some problems with Ventrilo on each, one with incoming and outgoing, even with the voice. In any case, it would break and the sound is distorted and unintelligible. I have this problem with the G35. I was not able to isolate the cause of the problem, so I can not say with certainty thatHeadphone Arena of such damages.
The headset Arena is relatively easy, very comfortable and certainly in the category Headset premium. It's not quite feel as bad as the G35 with the cloth wrapped cables and loose more, but many people probably prefer the lightness of the scene.
Comfortable and sound good – Dylan Ginsburg –
These headphones are playing well. I am a little 'dirty and dark in the midrange for music, but they are good for games, where fidelity is not the only factor. The bass is strong and detailed. The pseudo-surround effective. Not as good as discrete loudspeakers, but the signs of the territory are present. The microphone is excellent. Members of my guild to comment on what I could more easily understand.
Combine with USB, and an internal sound card with Creative EAXEffects. This gives you maximum compatibility and can regardless of your control system volume. The USB connection also their island from the noise, unshielded environment on your PC. This is a better solution than the earphones that analog connections from your existing sound card.
The headset is very lightweight and comfortable. I just want my ears were a little 'bigger. They fit my ears rubbed, but a bit '. But I took them for 10 hours gaming sessionswithout complaint, the complaint is turned down.
My only concern is the quality of construction. This does not feel like a product that will be the last. The detachable microphone feels like you have to cancel at any time. Plastics creaking building trust. I have no problem in a month was the use, but I'll be curious to see how those votes back in a year.
Good sound and very comfortable – M. Yeazle – Indiana
I love these headphones. I really do not know how to work for games. I use them when I'm sitting in bed, listening to music on my laptop while sleeping sue for custody. I also have them on the Internet, chatting with my sisters and I'm calm, I feel much my sister and she can hear as well. I also like when they are chatting with, because it blocks out background noise (for example, my children:). I will try my son with her, while he plays in the world haveWarcraft. So I can get his opinion and add more later. I'm guessing the result will be the same I have with the visit of my sisters were online. I also like that fold for easy storage in my drawer.
