This is a great power supply. I returned mine only because I decided to spend the extra money on getting the big brother to this drive, the Corsair HX1000 watt instead. Great company!

This is one of the best power supplies ever built. If you plan on running one or two video cards in sli, this is the unit to get. It is modular and comes with all the cables you will ever need. Luckily it came with a bag to hold the other cables I’m not using. When you unbox this babe you will know that this has high quality written all over it. From the packaging all the way down to the components. If you don’t believe me just google the reviews for this unit. This isn’t your everyday power supply. If you want power and reliability, you won’t be disappointed. I promise.

Corsair CMPSU-750HX 750-Watt HX Professional Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply compatible with Core i7 and Core i5 Awsome power supply, excellent efficiency ratings, quiet, cool, Love the modular cable arrangement. Assortment of cables and connections covers whatever you would need. While the packaging is not exactly “green” it reeks of quality. The included bag and pouch serve well to hold the extra cables you don’t use (so you will be able to find them later when you do want them).

Pros: 750+ Watts of power on a single 60 Amp rail. I say 750+ because multiple reviews by reputable PC forums have shown the HX750W to be almost virtually identical to its HX850W sibling. I’ve seen reports of HX750Ws putting out 900+ volts with outstanding noise and ripple values on the line. My system draws perhaps 200 Watts at any given time, give or take, but just knowing that I have the headroom (as well as the efficiency even at a mere 20% load on the PSU, as demonstrated by the 80 Plus Silver certification) is nice. The 7 year warranty and 100,000 hour MTBF mean that this PSU has the potential to(and should, according to the MTBF) run for a solid 11 years. Outstanding!
Cons: Um… help me out here. A PSU from a proven manufacturer with one of the best warranties in the industry and outstanding performance… can’t say I see too many cons, at least so far.
Other Thoughts: These newer Corsair HX series PSUs are manufactured by CWT and rebadged by Corsair. That being said, CWT has done an outstanding job with this PSU as far as design and parts are concerned, from what I have researched. Its been reported that just about everything in the HX series’ design is more than solidly engineered and constructed. I’ve owned this PSU for a week now and it’s been running almost non-stop and I have no reason to believe it will do otherwise. However, should the unit suffer any failures, minor or catastrophic, this review will be promptly updated.

I’m very pleased with this power supply. The modular design lets me use only the cables I need, which eliminated quite a bit of wire clutter from my case. The fan is quiet and smooth. I was surprised at the weight of the thing when I pulled it out of the box. It is of solid construction in more ways than one.
I’m powering an Asus board, Intel Core i7 860, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, a single ATI Radeon HD 5870 and two SSD drives and this thing has power to spare.
Be aware that this is longer than many of the power supplies you may be used to. It’s not square, like a ’standard’ power supply, so just make sure the dimensions will fit your case.
Overall, this is an excellent product from a highly respected name in the industry. I look forward to many years of service from my new Corsair power supply.
